Credits & pricing

Usage is metered in credits. Your dashboard shows usage as a percentage of your plan's allowance — not raw numbers — so the bar stays meaningful as prices are tuned.

How it works

  • Every operation has a credit cost. Some cost more than one credit.
  • Each service's page lists its operations and their current costs under Operations & pricing.
  • When you reach 100% of your allowance, API calls return 402 until your allowance resets at the start of your next period.
  • A plan with no allowance set is unlimited and never returns 402.

Credit exhaustion (402) is separate from rate limiting. Sending requests too fast — or past a key's own per-minute or monthly cap — returns 429, not 402. See Rate limits for how to handle those.

Pricing lives in the platform, not your code

You never set or send a credit amount — you call an operation and the platform prices it. That means prices can change centrally without you redeploying anything.

Track usage on Usage and manage your plan on Billing.
